As a visual artist I work across a variety of art mediums. I am a figurative painter, a producer of small scale artist books and I also sew subversive textiles. All my artworks are connected by my commitment to produce work that explores female narrative and perspective. I paint portraits of imaginary women who inhabit their own private space. They are alone, self-contained and possessors of a quiet power. My collaged artist books are often playful and humorous and cover subjects of Jewish feminism as well as frank experiences of birth and early motherhood. My subversive textiles challenge the patriarchal dominance within religion and celebrate female sisterhood.
